Mom & Robyn's visit: Day 1

Mom and Robyn are visiting here in the mile-high city for the weekend of the 4th. I have a jam-packed itinerary all set for them and here's what we did for the first day. I woke Robyn up at 5:30AM (4:30AM CA time) and we went to yoga at my beloved yoga studio. Then we got back home and her and mom enjoyed some homemade scrambled eggs with the eggs Britney and I got at our farm. We later ventured to Wash Park for a little outdoor exercise before heading up to Boulder with Britney. I'd heard about the free noon concerts on Friday in Boulder so we checked out some live music for a bit while people watching. For lunch, we headed to the Boulder Tea House before booking it up to the Celestial Seasoning's tea factory for a free tour and more tea. We then tried to meet up with Pam in Boulder but I couldn't find her house so instead we met up with David at Pasquini's (a pizza shop in Denver with a great happy hour menu) for a drink. After a little relaxing at the apartment, we went to Parallel 17 (a Vietnamese inspired restaurant) for a deligtful dinner!

TEA FACTORY TOUR at Celestial Seasoning's in Boulder

Drinking more tea!

And more!!

A blurry shot of us girls with our hair nets on, ready for the factory tour.

A betters hot except Robyn is blurry and Britney isn't ready--so I guess it's a good shot of me and Mom!

HAPPY HOUR at Pasquini's

So excited for Happy Hour :)

Lovin' it (Britney, me and David)

Too dark, bummer but at least you can see David's bunny ears (when not in work no need to be so serious)

DINNER at Parallel 17

Yum Yum Yum
Robyn : Strawberry Basil Lemonade House infused strawberry basil gin, fresh strawberries muddled with lemonade...a perfect summer cocktail!
Me: Blueberry Mojito House infused blueberry rum, fresh muddled mint + limes (virgin)

I just can't get enough!

Very beautiful and colorful! Pink and purple, just like old times: pink = Robyn, purple = Karly!

TEMPURA GREEN BEANS Tempura fried green beans, garlic black bean sauce, pickled daikon + carrots, garlic chips

TOFU TARO TACOS Yuzu crème fraiche, avocado mousse

Veggie sliders (not listed on online menu)

What a gorgeous evening too! Considering the previous night was a huge downpour and thunderstorm, it was a nice clear and warm evening.

Coconut Crepes
Lychee + orange compote, fresh ricotta, Cointreau chocolate sauce,
Chantilly cream

Britney: my fabulous roommate!!

Ready for a fiesta! Ella esta lista para una fiesta!
