Day 2: Art festival, Root Down and Fireworks!

Day two of Mom and Robyn's visit: 8AM step and shower at the gym. We then went over to my new place for a little tour and to meet Jill (new roommate) and Elmo (Jill's dog). I had warned about the heat, so we all dawned sun hats and headed to the farmer's market in Cherry Creek to have some samples, Peet's iced teas and meet my friend from yoga who has a glass-blowing tent there sometimes. There was also an art festival going on in Cherry Creek so we checked that out for a bit before getting too hot. To cool off, to Macy's we went for sun dresses. On the way home I grabbed a few movies from the library and we hunkered on the couch to watch Everyone's Fine, a somewhat sad film. And don't forget: Root Down for dinner! Such a great treat. We even lucked out with the last table outside and a perfect spot to watch the fireworks over the baseball stadium following the 6PM game. What a day!
